Ballot Statement

This is my re-election ballot statement for the June 2, 2015 election.

Also below, is my ballot statement as published in the November 5, 2013 (Run-off election) voting guide – I hope you will find I have lived up to my campaign promises!

Mike Soubirous – Councilmember / Businessman

I’ve lived and worked in Riverside for over 30 years. My wife and I raised our daughters here. I’m committed to our community. I served three decades in the California Highway Patrol and retired in 2011 as Commander of a local station.

I have dedicated my life to serving my community. My career in the CHP involved helping people during stressful and dangerous situations. I helped, using a calm and fact-finding approach to problem solving.

During my first term as your Councilman, I waived the salary, worked tirelessly to bring your voice to City Hall, and demonstrated I can make tough decisions. I provided leadership necessary to improve city government – making it simpler for local businesses to expand and create jobs. A safe school environment has been one of my top priorities for our children.

I will continue to be an independent voice that will speak out for what is best for our community. I am the most qualified candidate because of my community service, experience, and proven leadership ability.

It has been an honor serving you. I respectfully ask for your re-election vote.
